Design Philosophy
Many websites use flashy gimmicks which actually detract
from the function of the site. They often appear to be the
developer showing off their ability rather than actually
enhancing the site. Unless such features will really enhance a
visitor's experience we recommend avoiding them. We concentrate on
producing a functional and expressive site which is visually appealing.
Compatibility
All pages are designed to be quick to load and are tested with
all the major web browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape,
Opera & Mozilla) to ensure the site works as intended.
Web pages are hand coded in standard HTML (fully validated to the W3C standards - click the icon at the bottom of this page for more information) which avoids the code-bloat associated with some of the more 'user friendly' HTML editors. It also makes the code far easier to understand and edit if you choose to maintain it yourself.
Flexibility
We can design your site entirely to your specifications or, if you
prefer, produce a standard site (please see the example site)
from information and graphics provided by you. If you already
have a website but would like to revamp it we can help - just let
us know what you want.
You own the site - not tied to
Matley
Once complete, and all fees have been paid, the site is entirely
yours. If you choose to you may maintain it yourself and even
transfer it to another hosting provider at anytime without
penalty (there will however not be any refund of the
registration and hosting fees as these cannot be recouped by
Matley once the service has been started) .
