“Stride Through The Woods”
multi-terrain 5k
Wednesday the 20th April 2011 at 19:00
A big thank you to all the helpers and racers who made the event such a success yesterday.
The results are available to download here.
Hyde Village Striders presents “Stride Through The Woods” a two-lap multi- terrain race round our stomping ground, the Tame Valley. You'll probably not have time to appreciate the fine scenery as you speed along the hard packed river trail, romp over the grass and stagger through the short muddy section, but you will finish with a smile on your face!
There is 30m of ascent on each lap, with a short sharp 15m climb at one end of the loop and a steady 15m climb at the other. Other than those small climbs and a short splash through the mud it's full steam ahead on good trail.
A donation to Willow Wood Hospice will be made from the profit the event makes.
